Profile

Kathryn Kozlowski has over twenty five years of experience in program and project management providing time sensitive solutions for the aerospace, airline, hotel, and commercial printing and publishing industries.  Her expertise is advising and directing data, information, and knowledge management, change management, strategic planning and implementation, process redesign and performance improvement, product and program development in an ever changing global environment.  She has strong technical, communication, organizational, and business skills.

As Senior Manager for Collins Aerospace, Dr. Kozlowski has managed the Technical Publications & Training department for Power & Controls. Before joining Collins, she was IT manager for The Strathmore Company, applying her solid comprehension of technology and associated knowledge networks to provide efficient solutions for a diversity of clients and business challenges. Clients include members of the Fortune 500, Forbes Global 2000, Forbes List of Americas Largest Private Companies, and federal agencies.  Prior to this, Dr. Kozlowski programmed user interfaces, and was a technical writer for Unitech Systems, Inc., Lisle, IL, a mainframe audit and control software company, with clients including large corporations, members of the Fortune 500, and federal agencies.  She also worked as the Director of Research for the Communications Research Network, Naperville, IL, performing qualitative surveys and analysis for clients including members of the Fortune 500.

​Her research has included quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods approaches. She has investigated Environmental Corporate Social Responsibility factors, and their relation to corporate performance and corporate risk, looking at firm size as a moderator of these relationships. Her mixed methods research involved an investigation of the role and position of the liaison in organizational communication networks and the perception of organizational image. Dr. Kozlowski’s anthropological studies included social, culture and cross-cultural investigations, psychoanalytic anthropology, and robust explorations of ethnographies.

Dr. Kozlowski earned her doctorate in organization and management from Capella University. She earned master’s degree in organizational communications from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and her bachelor’s in cultural anthropology from the University of Illinois at Chicago.  Dr. Kozlowski has recently been an associate editor for Common Ground Publishing and Organizational Culture: An International Journal. She has served as reviewer for both the Academy of Management, the Midwest Academy of Management, and the American Marketing Association.
